Brown Babies … The children born to black GIs and British women in World War 11, with special reference to East Anglia'. The little told story of wartime liaisons between American Servicemen and native British women – and the resulting offspring…… included stories of some of those children who, after often difficult childhoods, some being placed in children’s homes, tried to trace their American Fathers – often with emotional and sometimes sad results. Her and her researchers detailed research, and hints at ways for children of American Servicemen (Black or White) in The Eastern Counties can find out more about their Fathers.
Starts at 7:30 p.m. (finishes by 9:45 pm) £3 for Society members, £3.50 for non members (membership forms at the Event if you wish to join on the night). Plenty of Free parking in the Co-Op Education Centre Car Park, which is accessed via Waterworks Street.
