Beating the Bound Annual Walk
Beating the Bounds is a circular walk of approximately 8 miles around the boundary of the old Parish of Hanwell. The walk marks the old church tradition of checking the boundaries of the parish, which was a way of preventing encroachment by neighbours. the walk takes in the beautiful environs of this West London village. Walkers can do the whole walk or just part of it. In return for a walking guide, walkers are asked to make a donation to Hanwell Carnival funds, or raise sponsorship for your
