Helping to Preserve Our Past For Our Future

We are a totally secular organisation. Our aims are simple but important.

To maintain, repair, restore, preserve, improve, beautify and reconstruct for the benefit of the public St Mary Magdalene Church, Shabbington and to maintain and improve the churchyard.

We are involved, as supporters, with a number of projects initiated by the Parochial Church Council.

New Heating
Removing the old under pew heating tubes which have been condemned.

New Seating
The purchase of new seating to make the space in the Church more adaptable and to provide a centre for the community.

Recording the Churchyard
Although burial records are of course held for the Churchyard no plan has been drawn up of it for some time. The last partial plan was in 1974. We intend to record and plot every grave to ensure no more of our history is lost.
