Pendon Museum

Pendon Museum’s exquisite miniature dioramas preserve the landscape and transport of the 1920s and ‘30s for future generations to enjoy. The largest diorama, 'The Vale Scene' started in the 1950s, spans over 1,400 square feet and contains over 150 intricate and historically accurate models of real cottages and other buildings from the Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire. Through our exhibitions, audio guides and family trails, and from our expert volunteer guides, learn about traditional crafts and everyday life nearly 100 years ago, before the Second World War and new technologies changed it forever.
