Stanmer House in Brighton is steeped in history, a stunningly restored Grade 1 country house nestled in unspoilt Grade 2 listed parkland and acres of peaceful, open-access Sussex woodland and countryside. The Park is just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of the City of Brighton and Hove. Stanmer House restaurant serves delicious Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and on Sunday, a wonderful Roast Lunch.

The Pelham Family built Stanmer in 1722 and Alex Proud has been the custodian of Proud Stanmer House” since 2016. The house has been restored and sensitively modernised, has a large private garden and marquee.

Stanmer Park is the gateway to the South Downs National Park and the heart of the Living Coast UNESCO World Biosphere Region, connecting people with nature.

Come by Bus: The House and Parkland are well served by bus (route 78) and train (Falmer Station). Stanmer House has ample free customer parking on site.
