Friends of St Andrew's Church, Halstead

The Friends of St Andrew's Church, Halstead was formed in May 1993 and is an independent registered charity (number 1019270) whose sole objective is to raise money for the upkeep of our historic parish church.

Since formation, the Friends have contributed in excess of £220,000 to financing church projects including, circa £37,000 for the refurbishment of the "Father Willis" Church Organ and at least £80,000 towards repairs to the tower, fitting a stainless steel 'tray' to the roof which was damaged during high winds, and repairs to the clerestory windows.

The Friends organise regular fundraising and community events, including the popular annual Halstead Flower Festival and Christmas Tree Festival, both of which regularly see over 1000 visitors in the church.
