This annual event takes place in July every year to celebrate Ampthill’s rich history, in particular the year 1533, when Katherine of Aragon left Ampthill castle after the annulment of her marriage to Henry.

The day commences at 11a.m. with a procession from the Parish Church of St Andrew, Ampthill, led by dignatories including the Mayor, the Rector together with King Henry and Queen Katherine and followed by his other five future wives and courtiers. This year the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire will lead the parade which makes its way through town to the gardens if the Old Sun where the Golden Hare Morris Dancers will welcome all.

The Tudor Style Festival commences at midday in the garden of the Old Sun and is designed to
be a free fun day for all the family including children's activities of storytelling, dressing up etc. Birds of prey, Tudor dancing. This year we have new re-enactors providing Tudor handicrafts (spinning and weaving), cookery and many more occupations .
