The Marches Choir is a group of around 80 singers drawn from a wide area around the small market town of Bishop’s Castle in Shropshire, under our director Alistair Auld. We meet weekly to rehearse and give around four concerts each year, ranging in style from major choral concert works (we have particularly enjoyed Handel's Messiah and Mozart's Requiem) to light opera, and of course Christmas favourites.
We are a varied group of ladies and men, ranging from our mid-twenties upwards but with no age limit! Some of us are professional musicians, but the vast majority simply have a love of singing together and having some fun on the way.
