Fron Male Voice Choir - Voices of the Valley

The choir takes its name from Froncysyllte, a North Wales village within the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site, close to Thomas Telford’s magnificent aqueduct.

Over nearly 80 years, The Fron has performed throughout the UK and overseas, but became known worldwide through its hugely successful Voices of the Valley recordings. The series earned Gold and Platinum discs and introduced the distinctive sound of Welsh male voice singing to audiences around the globe.

Today, The Fron remains as busy as ever, with a thriving membership and a varied programme of concerts, recordings and media appearances, most recently featuring in the Sky Arts documentary series Voices of the Valleys.

The choir rehearses every Monday and Thursday, 7–9pm. Whether visiting North Wales or thinking of joining, come along to a rehearsal – visitors and prospective choristers are always very welcome.
