A hidden gem, Altrincham Little Theatre is home to one of the oldest drama societies in England, with a history of more than 120 years. A true community theatre, it is run by volunteers and brings professional quality shows to audiences in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and beyond.
Its cosy 130-seat auditorium and bar offer a rare traditional, intimate theatre experience, but the theatre does not shy from new writing, creative ideas and welcomes new, innovative directors.
As well as hosting its own and visiting productions, the theatre has a cinema screen and is home to several Manchester film societies.
The members' club welcomes new members and volunteers keen to learn about all aspects of theatre. Work experience and DofE accredited volunteering opportunities are provided. In the summer the theatre plays host to local school productions.
