London Canal Museum

London Canal Museum is a mid-sized waterside museum in central London, close to King's Cross station. On two floors it tells the stories of the London canals and of the Victorian ice trade. Battlebridge Basin, a few yards from our back door, is the starting point for regular boat trips in the season and in December. The museum has special events from time to time and temporary exhibitions change one or twice a year. Typical events include "Ice Sunday", in July, when visitors may descend into the ice wells under the building, and a Victorian Music hall in the autumn.
