Churchdown Choral Society

We are a community-based mixed amateur choir which is always happy to welcome new members - soprano, alto, tenor or bass. We perform three concerts each year and have quite a varied repertoire. Our Christmas Concert usually features seasonal music, sometimes accompanied by a local children's choir. At Easter we usually perform one of the larger works from the classical choral repertoire often supported by a small orchestra. The Summer Concert is rather lighter, with songs from the shows or other popular works and with supper thrown in! Our rehearsals under musical director Helen Marcus are held on Thursdays at 7.30pm during school term times at Parton Manor Junior School, Craven Drive, Churchdown, Gloucestershire. If you would like to give us a try, why not come along one evening? No audition is necessary and there is no obligation to join if you find it is not for you!
