Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and Museum

Catalyst is a hands-on science discovery centre and museum based in Cheshire. We make science accessible and fun for all ages and abilities.
Enjoy panoramic views across Cheshire from the glass-walled, rooftop gallery reached by a scenic glass lift. Discover a host of interactive exhibits in our ground floor gallery where you can have a go at presenting the weather, create a marble run, investigate electrical circuits or make an animation.
Learn about the history of the area in our Birth of an Industry and Baker Galleries and investigate some of our archives in the Gossage Room.
Get to grips with real science and experience our purpose built discovery lab and theatre which host a range of family activities at weekends and during the schools holidays.
Also on offer is a free car park, a gift shop, a temporary exhibition area and the Catalyst cafe, the perfect place to enjoy a tasty snack whilst admiring views of the river and the Mersey Gateway Bridge.
