Halstead Town Council

Halstead Town Council is in the Braintree District of Essex. Establised in 1974, it has twelve elected Town Councillors, a Town Clerk and a small admin team. The team can help with many local problems or direct you to someone who can. The council have five car parks which are monitored by three staff. Courtaulds Sports Ground is owned by the council and managed by a full time Groundsman. We own the Queen’s Hall Function hall, which is hired out for events and parties. We also manage five allotment sites around Halstead
Halstead Town Council has in addition, a Planning and Finance Committee. Council meetings are held at Queen’s Hall monthly on a Monday evening.
We organise a number of activities and events for the local community. These include outings and Christmas parties for senior citizens, a Christmas Lights Switch-on event, a torchlight procession, music in the park and summer holiday activities for children.
