Southend Fish Club also known as Southend, Leigh & District Aquarist Society in January 2023 moved from St Andrews Hall, Westcliff (where we had been meeting for 55 years ). to Benfleet . We now meet every second Tuesday in the month. Having settled into our new home we now welcome all fishkeepers, from those with years of experience to those just starting in the hobby

We can trace our Club back to 1935 with just the WWII and Covid cancelling our meetings. Prior to Covid we usually held annual Open Fish Show every year in May. We even had a Show in 1938 in the Kursaal, and a Show at the end of the Pier in the 1950`s

We have only been able to trace the Society back that far; it is possible it existed before that date but we have so far been unable to find any documentary evidence.
