Ceramic Art Whitway

Ceramic Art Whitway is a working studio and a showcase for ceramics.

Visit Sally Courage, Teresa Munn & Moya Tosh, local ceramic artists with different ways of working, but united by a love for landscape. One of the three will always be working there and able to discuss their latest work, and show the work of guest artists.
Sally works with coils of clay to create satisfying forms which evolve as the work grows.
Teresa writes with clay, exploring feelings associated with the landscapes of our lives in clay-scripted wall plaques and hand-held textured forms.
Moya throws porcelain and uses blocks of glaze colour, 23-carat gold leaf, silver leaf & lustre colour for decoration. The vessel rims are cut to break the tension of the thrown form and create a new tension by 'stitching' over the cut with leather.

Major pieces and small gift items available - or just come and enjoy chatting and looking.
