The Woodland, Flora & Fauna Group

The Woodland, Flora & Fauna Group are a volunteer organisation dedicated to protecting local countryside and wildlife in southern Mid Sussex. We undertake nature conservation activities of various types in the countryside of Hurstpierpoint, Sayers Common, Goddards Green, Ansty, Albourne, Hassocks, Keymer, Newtimber, Pyecombe, Poynings, Twineham, Hickstead, Blackstone and Woodmancote.

All work undertaken is on land in private ownership with the consent of the landowners. The group has forged a reputation of trust and mutual respect in their dealings with landowners which has enabled many conservation initiatives to be undertaken.

The number of projects undertaken is dependent on the number of people who are able to provide practical help as volunteers and the number of supporters who are registered members who kindly support our work in other ways.
