Chepstow Walkers are Welcome

Chepstow became an accredited "Walkers are Welcome" Town in 2012 to co-incide with the opening of the Wales Coast Path. Walkers are Welcome is a nationwide initiative launched in 2007 to be ‘welcoming to walkers’. It enables the development of over 100 accredited Towns and Villages members to assist with their communities’ economic, physical, health and mental well-being through walking. Chepstow Walkers are Welcome has a number of volunteers to develop and promote walking in the area with something different to offer. We organise and lead Walks for Health which has a programme of walks that are no more than 3 miles and virtually without stiles. Meeting every Monday 10 am Chepstow Leisure Centre car park and from there car share to various locations in around the Lower Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. We have a programme of free walks throughout the year and organise and manage Chepstow Walking Festival. For latest information subscribe to our newsletter and visit our Facebook Page.
