Music in the Castle

‘Music in the Castle’ hosts six concerts a year, in the James Wyatt Music Room of Powderham Castle. Three of these concerts feature ‘New Generation Artists, ’providing gifted post graduate conservatoire students from the UK and abroad an important launch pad to their musical careers. Our range of artistes continues to diversify, creating a varied and often fascinating insight into a wide variety of music and genres. Local schoolchildren benefit from a free afternoon concert, aimed at inspiring the young musicians of tomorrow, and helping to ensure the future of classical music! . The popularity of all 6 annual concerts continues to thrive and we look forward to welcoming new audience members in 2020.
