The Sussex Guild

The Sussex Guild is a group of about 114 professional designer makers of contemporary and traditional crafts. Members undergo a selection process, and the high standards of design, innovation and craftsmanship required ensure that visitors to Sussex Guild shows are always rewarded with exciting pieces to see, buy and commission, wherever and whenever our work is exhibited.
The Guild was founded in 1968 by a small group of crafts people, “to be a community of mutually supporting, individual crafts people”. We continue to hold six shows across East and West Sussex throughout the year, where members are able to display their work and meet the public. These shows are arranged by members for the members’ benefit and are a true reflection of our mutual self-help ethos.
We also have a permanent base in the Sussex Guild Shop & Gallery, Southover Road, Lewes BN7 1TP, where the work of 34 members is on display. The Shop & Gallery is open 364 days a year from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
