Newburgh, West Lancashire, will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its annual Fair with a week-long series of events starting with a Ruby Ball on Sat June 17 and culminating with the Fair on Sat June 24. Today’s Fair has its origins in the fourteenth century and was resurrected in 1977 by a group of residents led by the then vicar of Newburgh.
