Live Steam Open Day (Ride on Railway)

Schaffons Crossing.


Various modelling techniques may be on show during the day. Adjacent to North Side of Chadwell Heath Station, Station Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex RM6 4BU Ilford & West Essex Model Railway Club is holding it’s usual monthly open day. This open day has train rides (usually steam) for all the family. The train rides will be on our 7¼ inch outside railway for £1 a ride (£4 all day pass) and refreshments available. Children positively encouraged. Some of our model railway layouts will also be in operation. As there is a flight of stairs down to our premises, it is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with disabilities not allowing the descent or climb back.
