Crarae is a rugged woodland garden which has a spectacular display of rhododendrons in May and June, a narrow gorge with waterfalls, pools, and varied wildlife from red squirrels and pine martens to otters. Above the garden is the forest garden, a very wild area which was planted in the 1930s as an experiment.
