Charity Garden Open Day: Barmagachan House

This new garden surrounds an 18th century house on a rocky knoll overlooking Wigtown Bay. It is profusely planted with a large variety of alpines, perennials and shrubs, including rhododendrons. Two themes are plants from SW China and Australia e.g. meconoposis, Asian primulas, eucryphia, and hebe. Many plants have been chosen for their wildlife value.
