The Wilkinson Brothers: An Exhibition by Miriam James

In the fifty years between 1825 and 1875, two public buildings were built in Bampton; the Town Hall which stands in the centre of the Market Square was designed in 1838 by George Wilkinson who went on to become chief designer of Workhouses in Ireland; the National School was designed by his younger brother, William, who had already designed a church for the neighbouring parish of Lew and who went on to design several schools and public buildings in Oxfordshire, as well as the Norham Manor Estate...
