The allegorical poem sees a group of birds – each representing a distinct human flaw – embark on a pilgrimage. The birds journey together but each face their own unique struggle, as they cross the seven valleys of Quest, Love, Knowledge, Detachment, Unity, Wonderment and Simplicity. The wisdom contained within the poem sparks memories, emotions and insights that are different for each person, and teaches us about the unique inner journey each of us must undertake in order to achieve spiritual wellness.
