Do you want to join a choir near you?
Your local Chester le Street choir is run by vocal teacher Rob Slater. The choir is for all ages and all the local Durham branches of Rock Choir, like ours come together to do incredible performances like the 11,000 seat Wembley Arena that ITV1 asked to film for the Rock Choir documentary 'The Choir that Rocks' and Guinness World Record attempts (The Rock Choir members have got 3 world records and even had personal certificates arranged for them) and community events too like the local Durham music and food festivals.
We sing in Chester le Street every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not visit our performances page at rockchoir.com to see when we're next performing locally in Chester le Street or Durham. There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Chester le Street community together through something as simple as singing for the fun of it.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'The most uplifting, inspirational and empowering choir in the country. Not only are they the biggest choir in the world, they truly do move you in a way I didn't think possible ' - Nick Patrick (7 x Classical Brit Award winning record producer with record sales of 40 million records)...
