'Gardening under Cover' talk by Dean Peckett

Do you have (or have you thought of getting) some cloches and/or coldframes, a polytunnel and/or greenhouse, or perhaps you have a conservatory and/or porch? Dean Peckett will explain techniques for cultivating plants in this way and for storing tender plants through the winter. He’ll also advise on plant selection and propagation, and other considerations such as heat, light and water. Dean has many years of experience in senior positions at RHS Wisley and RHS Harlow Carr, and latterly managed a private garden, Fort Belvedere, part of the Crown Estate in Windsor Great Park. He works as a gardening advisor, designer, writer and educator and also runs practical gardening classes for Gwent NGS. The event is organised by the HPS Monmouthshire Group... See more >
