Family Bushcraft Workshop

Join us for a family bushcraft day in the woods this Easter. The engagement team is excited to offer a new workshop for families who would like to spend time together outdoors discovering new skills. The workshop will take place in our beautiful secluded woodland at Attenborough Nature Reserve. Two of our experienced team will demonstrate skills and get the whole family involved in natural fire lighting and green wood working. There will be tasty treats to try cooking over the campfire whilst connecting with nature. Our team has experienced outdoor leaders with a passion for wildlife and regularly deliver Forest School and bushcraft activities. The workshop focus will be an introduction to bushcraft, the flora and fauna living on the reserve and nature connection family activities. - Learn to light a fire using a fire steel and bow drill - Try different fire lays to build a fire and cook tasty snacks - Make hot chocolate using a storm kettle - Use tools to make woodland crafts to take home The day will be led by Sarah and Elliott who are Forest School and bushcraft leaders and absolutely love nature. We will provide warm drinks and cook snacks over the fire, but please bring a packed lunch. Please let us know any dietary requirements.
