Nature-Inspired Mixed Media Embroidery Workshop

10am - 3pm £50 Attenborough Nature Reserve, Barton Lane, Attenborough, Nottingham NG9 6DY Create your own nature-inspired embroidery at Attenborough Nature Reserve. About the event This workshop provides a perfect opportunity to learn to combine a range of different media and techniques to create a unique observation of beautiful seed heads, grasses and flowers. Suitable for complete beginners and veterans alike, this course is ideal for anyone with a desire to learn a new craft or a gift for an artsy person in your life! The four-hour workshop will begin with some sketching from observation before exploring compositional ideas. We will then experiment with watercolour washes, pen and ink drawing and finally some embroidery. All specialist media and materials are provided. It is optional to bring your own watercolour paints. The workshop is based in the Conference Room with beautiful views across the water and includes a hot drink and cake. There will be a break for lunch, where you are able to purchase food from our onsite café. All our food is freshly made on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our cakes and sweet treats are supplied by two independent, local businesses – Beeston Brownies and Homemade Café. With at least 48-hours' notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs.
