For every new person you bring along you get a half price session The Chapel, St Margaret’s House, Bethnal Green E2 9PL Come and sing with us, all voices and abilities welcome. We are Bethnal Green Voices, a community singing group that meets every Wednesday evening in Bethnal Green at a gorgeous Chapel in the historic St Margaret’s House settlement, about 5 mins walk from Bethnal Green Tube Station. We sing simple songs, nourishing harmonies & playful improvisation to help build your confidence as a singer and make new friends. We are an inclusive and non-judgmental space, all genders, orientations and backgrounds are welcome. Songs are taught by ear. Most sessions follow a similar structure and are tailored to suit the audience, generally we start with a physical warm up to bring us back into our bodies in a mindful way, then we'll sing a warm up song, in unison or maybe as a round. They we learn a song or two with parts suited to our range of voices and capability then finish with a fun improvisation exercise. There will be an opportunity for a tea break in the middle, so bring a flask of tea. The Chapel is an old historic building without central heating, there will be portable heaters but we recommend you arrive wearing something warm in the winter months.
