A beginner or regular painter, Liz will guide you at your own pace. During the Workshop students will be working from direct observation. The day will start with setting up a still-life and a demonstration to establish key elements of the setup. Experienced students will move at their own pace whilst those who require more guidance with colour will be taken through the stages required to mix and relate colour. Areas to be covered during the Workshop: • Setting up a still-life with effective lighting • Drawing the structure or massing in, to establish proportion • Massing shadow shapes • Relating colours and mixing desired value, hue, chroma and temperature. • Controlling edges and finishing touches. This workshop is suitable for all abilities. Drawing experience is desirable. A home cooked lunch and all refreshments are included.
