An English comedy set in the 1950s The morning peace of cabaret star Jack’s country home is first disturbed by his co-star Maggie, come to bemoan her latest romantic disaster, then shattered by the arrival of his ex-music hall parents, Beatrice and Charlie, with every intention of staying for a bit: ‘We’ll be gone before Christmas’ .... but it is only January!!!
