On Monday 8th April, the Bournemouth Bluebird Jazz Club will be hosting the Sunset Café Stompers. The Stompers are one of the top UK jazz bands and play the music of the golden age of jazz … great melodies from Scott Joplin, Irving Berlin, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington… and the band's wide repertoire also features songs made famous by artists as diverse as Patsy Cline, Marilyn Monroe, Fats Domino… Beneath it all lies that enthralling pulse - the sound of New Orleans. Great feet tappin' music! The Bournemouth Bluebird Jazz Club presents Jazz for Dorset and West Hampshire, especially Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ferndown, Wimborne, Colehill, Verwood, West Moors and Ringwood. The club meets from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Mondays at the Bluebird Social Club, 4 Ham Lane, Longham, BH22 9DP, (opposite Haskins garden centre). There is ample car parking, a large dance floor and a bar with drinks at affordable prices. Each month we try to feature one national band and one local band.
