Messy Museum Day: Sacred scarabs

Sacred scarabs – Make a scarab beetle, often found on Ancient Egyptian amulets worn by the living, from air-drying clay and then paint. Why not visit the From the Nile to Newbury special exhibition about Ancient Egypt after this activity and do a free trail, self-guided tour and other gallery activities. An adult must remain with the child throughout the session. Drop-in activity, no need to book. Please dress for mess, although disposable aprons will be available for the messier crafts. You are welcome to bring a reusable apron. Last entry for the activity is 2.45pm. Friday 31 May | 10am-3pm | £2.50 per child | No need to book, just drop-in... See more >
