Family Bushcraft Day

£10 per family 10.30am to 3pm Lochardil Woods, Inverness IV2 Join Wild Things for a day in the woods, exploring the traditional living skills of our ancestors that allowed them to survive and thrive when the forest was a much wilder place. We will look at building shelters to keep us out the elements using natural materials; forage food and medicines from the forest; purify water; make cordage from natural materials; and hone our senses, learning about tracking and the animals we might find hiding around us. Activities are suitable for primary school ages children, but all ages are welcome. Bring some lunch and water, sturdy footwear, and clothing suitable for the weather on the day.
