Banes is a former professional cricketer, while Marriott is an award-winning writer, producer and performer. Marriott is best known for starring in the BBC sitcom The Brittas Empire, and appeared to great acclaim in Appraisal, which he also wrote, here at the Tabard in April 2024. Jack’s Ashes also includes recorded contributions from the cricketing world such as Lancashire, England and Sky Sports legend David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, Ed Cowan, Robert ‘Crash’ Craddock and Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson.
