Join author of Hark! The Biography of Christmas Paul Kerensa for a fun festive whizz through 4000 years of Christmas past – from how Jingle Bells became the first song in space to the bizarre link between In Dulci Jubilo and the Macarena. Paul Kerensa is a British Comedy Award-winning writer (BBC’s Miranda, Not Going Out), comedian and festive historian, whose show on BBC history previously enjoyed a fine crowd at The Tabard. Now he’s back with a sleigh ride through the twelve days that made Christmas – from St Francis of Assisi’ s live Nativity scene to the only legal carol of the 18th century. You’ll laugh, learn but above all feel incredibly Christmassy in this one-man show of comedy and carolling. Singing and Santa hat optional. Book early for Christmas!...
