Price: £50 per person Southlands Arts Centre, 75 The Green, West Drayton UB7 7PW Southlands is exceptionally pleased to welcome award-winning printmaker Basia Gorska to our arts centre to present - Beginners’ Printmaking. This will be a relaxed workshop for people wanting to experience a taster session in printmaking. Basia will introduce participants to a range of printmaking techniques, from printing with store-cupboard staples like onions and sweetcorn, to garden or hedgerow foliage, to using bubble wrap and found objects. Participants will learn printmaking techniques that don’t need a press such as monoprinting. An experimental aspect of the workshop will be using a pasta maker to do drypoint. Basia will also show what materials to use to create simple plates from which participants can print and how to plan and implement your design. All the materials you need are easily accessible and you’ll be able to use your newfound skills to do printmaking at home. All materials included in the price of the ticket.
