Heritage Open Day: NetWerks in Fisher Street was built as municipal offices in 1916, designed by local architect Rowland Halls. Recently restored and refurbished, the building retains panels of oxen above the façade and a barrel-vaulted ceiling to the committee room. The Werks in Fisher Street was originally built as an addition to the neighbouring town hall complex for Lewes Borough Council. The municipal offices were designed by local architect Rowland Halls and built in 1914. Halls employed local craftspeople, stonemasons, metal-workers and stained glass window artists.
