Heritage Open Day: We are creating a community collection with our historic medical objects. Join us for an exhibition on aspects of local Exeter history, asylums, women's health, and ethics in museums! What should be said on a museum label? What do you want to know about objects in the museum? Whose voice is heard in the museum? In an exhibition created by our interns from the University of Exeter, we will explore some local Exeter asylums through their history and documents, aspects of women's health, and use other objects from our collection in a handling session - on Saturday 14th September, 11am - 4pm. We want to find out what interests people in the museum objects, what you would would want to find out and read about, and create a network of knowledge from our community about the items in our collection...
