Village Hall, Main Street, Etton, Beverley HU17 7PG
Heritage Open Day: Etton is an almost hidden village at the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds only 4 Miles from Beverley. Visit the Village Hall to view a display and then take a walk around the village. Etton has a long history going back to the Bronze Age. Currently it has population of around 250 (2021 census) but in its late Georgian heyday as a thriving agricultural village the population was about 380 despite there being fewer houses. Start your walk at the village hall where there will be refreshments (possibly before your walk AND after), photographs of the village, historical objects and knowledgable villagers. Maps of the walking routes around the village are available at Cherry Corner and the Village Hall...
