Heritage Open Day: Heritage Open Day offers an opportunity to come inside this prominent grade 2 listed landmark building. St Jude's sits on the corner of Savile Park Moor in Halifax. St Jude's will be open on Saturday 14th September between 10.00a.m. and 2.00 p.m. The building was designed by Mr W. Swinden Barber of Halifax. The design of the 85ft tower was exhibited at the Royal Academy. The building was consecrated on the 13th of November 1890. A visit to St Jude's would also give an opportunity to see The Boy David Statue, sculpted by local sculptor Jocelyn Horner. St Jude's serves the local community of Savile Park, providing worship and spiritual growth. Some Church registers will be available to view. Guides will be on hand to answer questions and information leaflets will be available. Coffee and cakes will be available for a small donation...
