Please note: there is no step-free access 'Upstairs' at Southern Maltings, Kibes Lane, Ware SG12 7BS One of the UK's leading poets, Imtiaz Dharker, is the guest reader at this special Ware Poets event. Imtiaz was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry, and her poems feature on the GCSE and A Level English syllabus, BBC radio, television, the London Underground, Glasgow billboards and Mumbai buses. The evening offers the chance to hear a top poet locally. It is also an opportunity for students studying for GCSE and A level English to attend a reading by a poet whose work is on the curriculum. (Entry is free for under 19's but please book in advance). The evening will start with an open mic session with readings by audience members, followed by Imtiaz’s performance.
