International Women's Day - Celebrate Women!

10.00-13.30 - free of charge The Gateway Addlewell Lane The Gateway, Yeovil BA20 1QN The Somerset Health Branch of UNISON is thrilled to host a free community event celebrating International Women’s Day Women of all ages , whether UNIASON member or not are warmly invited to join in the festivities and enjoy a range of free practical workshops available for sign-up on the day. These include glassmaking, felting, mosaics, and metalwork. Additionally, attendees can look forward to a talk from local author Carol Mayne and captivating art and cake decorating demonstrations led by local artists. This special event also offers a unique opportunity to support local crafters and artists by purchasing distinctive, handcrafted Mother’s Day gifts. Visitors can connect with various participating organizations, including St. Margaret’s Hospice, which will be hosting the refreshments area, and Wessex Water. In support of the Smalls for All Charity, donations of ‘gently worn’ laundered bras and new pants will be collected for distribution to women and girls in need around the world.
