Newport Music Club 50th Anniversary Season - 'Saxophone Spectacular'

Cosy Hall, Water Lane, Newport, Shropshire TF10 7LD The second concert of our 50th anniversary season will be on Saturday March 15th at 7.00 p.m. at Cosy Hall, Newport TF10 7LD. This is a treat not to be missed - a Saxophone Spectacular ‘Bach to the Future’ featuring the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Saxophone Ensemble playing an extravaganza of music from the Renaissance to the modern day. The whole family of saxophones will be in full force with music by - Gabriel Gabrieli, Maurice Ravel, Katia Beaugeais and South African giants of saxophone music Clare Loveday and Arthur Feder. The students will be led by Naomi Sullivan, Head of Saxophone at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Chair of the Clarinet and Saxophone Society of Great Britain. And, as a special bonus, Stafford's own super-talent Chris Gumbley, will be joining them as guest saxophonist.
