Caedmon Choir - in the Courtyard

The choir will be signing between 13:30 and 14:00 and is free to attend for cafe customers. Land of Oak & Iron Heritage Centre, Spa Well Road, Winlaton Mill, Blaydon on Tyne, Tyne & Wear NE21 6RU The wonderful Caedmon Choir will be having their private annual picnic lunch with us at the Heritage Centre – and as a treat they will be singing to our visitors in the Courtyard. Caedmon are a friendly, welcoming, community choir with around 70 members. They sing a wide range of music, including folk, world music, traditional and contemporary songs, both local and further afield, as well as a large Festive repertoire. “If it’s good, we’ll sing it!” So if you would like to hear this amazing choir, buy yourself a cuppa and lunch from the café and sit outside in the Courtyard to listen to a few tunes, (hopefully) in the sun. Please note, all seating in the Courtyard, along with bench and planting area seating are reserved for customers of our café – picnics are welcome on the meadow area or in the park nearby (please don’t bring your own food/drink to our café seating areas). If it’s a nice day, why not enjoy a healthy walk or cycle ride to get here – it’s a lovely route through Derwenthaugh Park and we have cycle racks on site... READ MORE>
