Everyone loves the stories about Elmer the patchwork elephant – whether he's pretending to be an ordinary grey elephant or playing a practical joke. But has anyone ever actually seen him? Can you help find him? Is that a patchwork trunk hidden among the trees and bushes of the jungle? The enchanting and colourful world of Elmer is brought to life through songs, storytelling and puppetry by Tall Stories, the company who brought you The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom live on stage – for everyone aged 3 and up. Celebrate Elmer's unique patchwork colours and wear all your colourful clothes when you see the show. Tall Stories sets the benchmark for children's theatre The Sunday Times Accessible performances Relaxed performance and Touch Tour Wed 16 Apr 1.30pm (Touch Tour begins 12.30pm) Relaxed performances are specially designed to provide a supportive environment for children and adults with learning difficulties, special needs or Autistic Spectrum Condition. The performances are open to everyone but will be particularly suited to these groups. What happens at Relaxed performances? The auditorium lights will be kept low throughout the show and any loud noises on stage will be softened. Audience members may leave or re-join the performance at any time and staff will be on hand to help out. A visual story can be downloaded in advance (see below) to explain what to expect from the performance and how to find your way around the theatre. There will be a chill-out area set aside for those who need time out from the performance.
