Mount Kelly Choral Society will perform Carl Orff's dramatic and powerful work, Carmina Burana, as part of this year's Tavistock Festival. Written in 1935-6, and based on the idea of the turning Wheel of Fortune, the work consists of settings of 13th century poems, mainly in secular Latin or medieval German, and often bawdy in nature.
