Fund Britain's Waterways campaign cruise to Westminster

The boats will travel in convoy up the River Thames, arriving from 10:30 a.m., with the main gathering for viewing by Parliamentarians from the terrace of the Palace of Westminster at 11:00 a.m.

Come along and cheer the flotilla on! Westminster Bridge SW1A 2JH See and hear a flotilla of over 30 narrowboats and other craft gathering outside Parliament to campaign for more funding for canals and rivers. Boats have travelled hundreds of miles across the country to gather outside the Palace of Westminster to bring the message that Britain's unique canals and rivers are deteriorating and need more investment. These inland waterways are a hugely valuable asset in so many ways - walking, cycling, jogging, commuting, fishing, enjoying nature and wildlife as well as boating. They have already been saved from dereliction after commercial carrying stopped, through the efforts of volunteers, and we cannot afford to lose them again.
